We live in this beautiful home and only rent it because we are traveling. Over the past 13 years we have hosted visiting UBC professors, graduates and faculty, and medical personal to the various hospitals close by. The house is ideally suited for a maximum of 6-7 people. We only accept bookings from families and/or related couples, such as parents with their adult children, or a couple with children or 2 to 3 couples. We do not accept bookings from unrelated groups. If booking for 7 guests, three guests will be sharing one bedroom. The home You will have 2.5 stories entirely to yourself. The house is eclectically decorated and full of character, featuring heritage details such as: High and coffered ceilings in most rooms An exposed brick chimney wall A wood-burning fireplace Main floor The main floor includes: A large living room A craftsman-style dining room A fully stocked, renovated kitchen A powder room The kitchen opens onto a beautiful deck overlooking our backyard. Please note: deck furniture and the BBQ are available May through September only, as the deck is uncovered. Second floor The second floor features: A primary bedroom with a queen bed and ensuite bathroom A second bedroom with a double bed A second, newly updated and charming full bathroom Top floor Above the second floor is a newly renovated third bedroom/den. This space has lower attic ceilings (approximately 6 ft at the peak in some areas and 7 ft in others) and includes: An ensuite two-piece bathroom A double bed A Single Sofa Bed that can open into a comfortable bed A desk/workspace Important notes There is one additional bedroom in the house that is locked and not accessible to guests. The ground level of the house is fully independent from the main home upstairs and we keep it for our own personal use or rent it.
