UNLV School of Medicine is located in the heart of the Las Vegas Medical District on the Shadow Lane Campus, Building B located at 1001 Shadow Lane serving Southern Nevada.
The UNLV School of Medicine was officially established on August 22, 2014 when the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) Board of Regents approved funding for the medical school's start-up costs. In 2016, the School was granted preliminary accreditation by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) and accreditation from ACGME as an institutional sponsor of graduate medical education (GME).
