This cozy garden suite is part of a detached single family home with a shared private yard, parking, and laundry. I have been renting to folks in the medical community on and off for a few years, and I work at UBC. 

The Space

This charming 450 sq ft garden suite is a  self-contained living area ideal for medical trainees and shift workers. The space is part of a an quaint single-family home, with a separate entrance and spacious layout with a sectioned-off area for the bed and desk. This half wall section and 7.5 ft ceilings contribute to an open feel.

The space comes fullly furnished: There is a double bed; workdesk with large monitor, 3 seater couch, dining table, and a fully equipped kitchen. High speed internet, a smart TV, and shared laundry with supplies are also included. There is also an enclosed space to store bicycles in the entryway.

Location & Neighbourhood

The home is in a centrally located, quiet neighbourhood near W 17th Avenue and Laurel St, which is close to amenities, shops, grocery stores, transit, and local hospitals. The backyard is a sunny, south-facing, enclosed space with a cherry tree and covered under the deck outdoor space. The location is also close to transit stops, several restaurants, coffee, gyms, outdoor tennis courts, community centre, and parks.

• 10-minute walk to Vancouver General Hospital (VGH), BC Cancer Agency, Gordon and Leslie Diamond Centre.
• 15-minute walk to BC Women's and Children's Hospital.
• 30-minute walk to Mount St. Joseph Hospital.
• Complimentary inter-hospital shuttle from VGH available to other hospital sites (UBC (25min), St. Paul's Hospital, (20min) and Mount St. Joseph).
