A large, furnished (can be unfurnished), main bedroom with a queen-size bed, nightstands and lamps, good-sized closet and exclusive access to an attached balcony overlooking the backyard with gardens in a renovated semi-detached house is available in East York, 7 blocks from Michael Garron Hospital (10 - 12 minute walk) and about a 15 minute walk to Greenwood TTC Station. It is one-block away from Dieppe Park (which includes a soccer field, baseball field, outdoor ice rink, used as pickle ball courts in the summer), and a couple blocks away from East York Tennis Club and Cosburn Lawn Bowling Club. You will have shared access to the rest of the house (excluding the landlord's bedroom, bathroom and office) which includes a large kitchen with stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher), dining and living room areas on the first floor, a TV Room and shared bathroom on the second floor, a front porch, a back deck with a barbeque and laundry washer & dryer in the basement. Rent includes heat, air conditioning, electricity, wifi (Rogers Ignite), television, hot and cold water, and professional cleaning of the common areas once every two weeks (cleaning can be arranged for your bedroom for an extra fee). Must provide your own sheets and towels. No smoking. Landlord is a queer, mostly masculine presenting person who is trans friendly with a Black Lab-mix dog who works in senior management in community mental health and substance use health. Preference for queer or trans renters, but at very least, you must be queer and trans friendly. Please be comfortable living in the same house as a friendly and large dog (black lab mix). Only on-street permitted parking is available and renter is responsible for obtaining the parking permit from the City of Toronto. Prefer minimum of 12 month term. Indefinite term is also possible. References, credit and tenant screening, proof of employment or enrolment in educational program and government issued ID will be required on application. Proof of tenant insurance will be required on move-in.
