Welcome to the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) Faculty of Medicine and Interprofessional Health Education Facility — a state-of-the-art hub for medical and health-care education in Charlottetown, PEI.

This innovative facility is the home of Memorial University's Doctor of Medicine (MD) program in Prince Edward Island, operating as a regional campus of Memorial University until a future joint UPEI-Memorial MD degree is established. The inaugural class of medical students began their studies in August 2025, marking a milestone in advancing medical education in Atlantic Canada.

Beyond medical training, the facility hosts a diverse range of health and wellness programs:

• UPEI Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program — expanded to meet growing demand for clinical psychology education.

• Provincial ADHD Clinic — providing specialized assessment and care services for Island residents.

• Health PEI Patient Medical Home (PMH) — offering integrated, community-based primary health care.

• Provincial Clinical Learning and Simulation Centre (CLSC) — delivering hands-on training for medical, nursing, and allied health students, as well as continuing education for health-care professionals, first responders, and military personnel.

Located in the heart of Charlottetown, the facility strengthens collaboration among UPEI, Memorial University, and Health PEI, fostering a dynamic environment for interprofessional education, clinical innovation, and community-based health care on Prince Edward Island.
