Please note: this listing is to provide short term accomodation for medical students/residents visiting Vancouver in order to complete a rotation/elective at a hospital or research facility. 

I retired early, am a recent empty nester and live alone in a three level townhouse (1425 sq ft, built in 2009). I have a clean, private, quiet and furnished bedroom on the ground floor with its own 3 piece ensuite bathroom (shower). The room was painted and carpet replaced a few months ago.

There is also a den/office space on the top floor which is ideal for studying or your virtual meetings. I go into that room maybe once a year to use the printer. The bedroom and the office face a courtyard not a street.  The rent includes both rooms and shared use of the laundry and common areas like kitchen, dining and living rooms. The garage has a Keiser M3plus spin bike, yoga mats and kettlebells if you like to workout at home. 

You will be the only person other than myself living here as I am not interested in running a rooming house. I respect the intensity of your work/study and wish to provide a calm and hopefully relaxing atmosphere in your temporary home.

The townhouse complex is small (only ten units) and all residents are very respectful. No excessive noise after 10 pm is tolerated. Bylaw is strictly enforced. I would like if laundry could be completed prior to 10:30 pm.

My home is conveniently located near public transit (including Canada Line/Skytrain train system) and several Vancouver hospitals. According to Google Maps It is a leisurely 12 minute walk or 4 minute drive to BC Women's & Children's Hospital. Vancouver General Hospital is a short bus ride away. There is an express Rapid bus three blocks away that takes you to UBC Hospital in under 20 minutes.

My neighbourhood is low density, mostly single detached houses with a few townhouse complexes. It is lovely, safe (low crime rate) with several nearby parks, a bicycle route and a public outdoor circuit gym.

I'm a quiet and respectful person. Reading, yoga, cardio, caring for my houseplants and growing a robust gut microbiome are my thing!
